The Party

The first Moita Free Software Festival took place on the premises of the extinct Independent University, in Palheirão, in 2004, co-organized by Humaneasy Consulting and ANSOL – National Association for Free Software , and had the support of Moita City Hall, the Independent University and several entities and communities linked to Free Software.

This second edition of the Free Software Festival, organized by them and the Municipality of Moita, is a space for free installation of software on visitors' computers and will include a program of lectures, demonstrations, workshops, information, hackathons, live music entertainment and other attractions. During the event, the Ubuntu Portugal Community organizes the first UbuCon in Portugal and we have the presence and collaboration of Wikimedia Portugal, Drupal Portugal, D3, RepRap.pt, Linux Tech, among others.
