About Us?

The RepRap concept was invented by Adrian Bowyer and the idea was started in February 2004. RepRap means "Replicating Rapid-prototyper" translating into Portuguese we could get something like a "Rapid Prototyping" device. In short, Adrian's main idea consisted of making machines reproduce each other. This concept is still maintained in some companies such as Prusa, where we can see that some of the parts are still printed. Over time, this concept has been lost as many manufacturers currently resort to the traditional industrial machining system for faster series manufacturing of printers. This type of printer, which would be most used in prototyping parts in laboratories, is increasingly accessible to consumers. In this way, they reach homes, offices and offices as a tool for entertainment, architecture, design, cooking, engineering, dental clinics, mechanics and other professions that require the customization of certain parts.

This technology had not yet been developed in Portugal. A few years later, through Liliana and Pedro, creating this page came a series of difficulties that had to be overcome to find some parts necessary to assemble 3D printers in Portugal. But in such a short time, and thanks to global development, it is now easy to find parts and consumables in a store near you. However, the experience of those who already work in the area can sometimes be enough to unlock something that seemed to have an almost unattainable solution. On this website, in addition to showing the assembly process of some components and printers, specific parts for certain models and comments are also available that can help the user get their 3D printer back to working order. It is in this case that Adrian's initial concept still remains, keeping access to information and files open so that he can get immediate help without having to wait for someone's support.

We wish you perfect layers!
