BIGTREETECH S42B 42 Stepper Motor Closed Loop Driver Board is a stepper motor control board that uses a closed loop system to ensure the stepper motor rotates accurately and without lost steps. It also has an OLED display that can be used to display information about the stepper motor, such as rotation speed and shaft position.
The closed loop unit is to feedback the rotation angle of the stepper motor to the control panel, compares the distance it needs to rotate the shaft with the actual rotation distance, calculates the error value and, then compensates so as to avoid the problem of multiple steps or missed steps.
The closed-loop drive can completely overcome the lost step of the stepper motor compared with the open-loop one, and can also significantly improve the high-speed performance of the motor.
